Alyzea
Merchant
Hi, I am a second-year liberal arts student in British Columbia.
I'm passionate about psychology, history and most things interdisciplinary. At Quest University, I volunteer at the “Presence Club”, that aims to create a safe and inclusive space for students of color. When I’m not in class or a club meeting, you’ll find me drinking coffee and watching movies with friends. As a high-school senior, thinking about going to college on the other side of the world made me very anxious. I'm here to support you and make that journey easier for you, so feel free to ask me anything and good luck!
Fun Fact: I once hiked up a mountain and didn't realize a landslide occurred while I was there.

mACDONALD
University: Vanderbilt University, USA
Major: Computer Science
Year: Sophomore/Second-Year
Hometown: Grand Blanc, USA
At Vanderbilt, I’m majoring in computer science and plan on entering the business field. As someone who struggled with choosing a career path, I’m proud that I’m studying something I enjoy and am interested in. So far, the best decision I have made at Vanderbilt has been joining the club rowing team. It has taught me a lot about discipline with my schedule and the importance of having a support group around you. I’m having an all-around great college experience and hope I can help others do the same.
Fun Fact: I have not met a single person at Vanderbilt from my home state of Michigan.

Angus Robertson
University: Imperial College, London
Major: Physics
Year: Junior/Third-Year
Hometown: Vancouver, Canada
Hey all, I'm a third year physics student who - when not sleeping or eating - enjoys swimming competitively and playing tabletop games. I'm not sure what I plan to do after Imperial, but in the meantime I've taken up leadership in student accommodation where I've served as a hall senior. Before attending Imperial in my final year at secondary school I applied almost exclusively to U.K. post-secondary institutions via UCAS (I.C.L., U.C.L., Cambridge, St. Andrews, Edinburgh), so I can potentially answer some questions about UCAS if you have any.
Fun Fact: My favorite food is anything with anchovies.

AditYA
Sudini
University: University of Southern California
Major: Economics
Year: Sophomore/Second-Year
Hometown: Hyderabad, India
In high school, I loved to be up and about doing things. I was heavily involved in Model UNs, animal welfare projects, and sports (played soccer until I tore my ACL, but still an avid Barcelona fan). In college, my interests haven't really changed, but meeting whole new people whom I have little in common with was refreshing. While searching for colleges, I made it a priority to not only focus on selectivity, but also other factors that can make or break the experience. Studying in LA is a dream. The weather is comfortable year-round, there is always something happening around campus, and I have a really good time with my friends. They (not sure who but anyway,) weren't kidding when they said college was the best 4 years of your life!
Fun Fact: I'll save these for later. ;)

SarayU
Ramineni
University: Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore
Major: Business and Management
Year: Sophomore/Second-Year
Hometown: Hyderabad, India
The period from shortlisting colleges to applying and then finally getting into college was probably one of the most stressful times in my life. With a lot at stake, I know what it feels like to be confused with your choices. Honestly, I never had a "dream college", until I visited Singapore to explore colleges and programs that seemed interesting to me. Then began the application process, with a hundred doubts in mind. I was fortunate enough to know a few students there and some who were applying along with me, which made the whole experience a lot smoother. So here I am hoping to be of help to some of you :)
Fun Fact: Binge watching TV shows, which is currently Brooklyn Nine-Nine :p , and eating are some of my most favourite things to do!
ABOUT

Shreya n.Raj
University: University of Leeds, United Kingdom
Major: Business Management
Year: Sophomore/Second-Year
Hometown: Hyderabad, India
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been captivated by how things work in the business world. The curiosity to learn more fuelled me to pursue a career in business. So far, I’ve done short term internships with companies such as P&G, HSBC, and PWC. Following my passion for community service and volunteering, I became the head of Leeds RAG (our fundraising society). And this was just my unfortunately-cut-short first year! I can't wait to see what the next two years hold for me. Apart from university,
my favourite thing to do in a new place is to explore local art museums and cafes. I’m so excited to be a part of this community, and to get to know some of you better!
Fun fact: My goal for the next 2 years is to see as many places as I can in Europe(provided COVID-19 finally calms down).

KaLyani Garud
University: Ashoka University, India
Major: Political Science
Year: Sophomore/Second-Year
Hometown: Mumbai, India
Looking back on my first year at Ashoka, I've lost track of how many times I've changed my mind about my major. In high school, the idea of not having a set-in-stone 5-year plan was terrifying. However, the opportunity to explore different routes and carve my own path was exactly what drove me to Liberal Arts. Over the past year, I've grown intellectually having studied diverse disciplines from environmental sciences to media studies. Outside academics, I taught art to local primary school children, fed the street dogs whenever I could, and made the absolute best friends ever. I still don't exactly know where I'm going to be in 5 years, but I know I would not have chosen to do this any other way.
Fun Fact: I love going out for walks at night with my dog. Sometimes, I take my skate board along and let him drag me around.
